I wish I could give this 0 stars. Unbelievably god awful service and business. Booked a stay here with my girlfriend and I, and chose here cause it had a free cancellation option. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we could not attend. Went to the free cancellation and selected it. A few weeks later, I received a $300 bill on my credit card for not attending. Called the hotel, and said that due to their "policy", they can not refund. Their "policy" doesn't show up until AFTER you book it, and they shouldn't have a free cancellation option if they don't provide it. I asked to speak to the manager and I got a "they in tomorrow morning" response and then got hung up on. This hotel is a joke of a business that has no care in the world for their customers. Will be making sure that everyone I know who travels here, does NOT stay here.

Disgusting! Room was dirty, bed was beyond uncomfortable, and I ruined a new article of clothing by putting it on a bench that apparently had red paint on it. Talked to the supervisor at check out. Her response was..."I'm sorry". I asked for something to be done, she says.."I don't know what you want me to do." Her Manager wasn't in, and she apparently had no authority to do anything. She took my number and promised to call, and it's been 3 days without so much as a word. She then argued with me when she tried to charge me for a bottle of water that I didn't use because I brought a cooler filled with my own beverages for just that reason. Their so-called breakfast was a couple pieces of fruit in a basket, two jugs of orange juice left out on the counter, some bagels cut in half, and a few muffins from Tim Hortons. We paid $379 + $200 deposit for 3 nights, to literally sleep there while visiting Vancouver for the first time. We had one roll of toilet paper, and 3 pillows on the bed for two people. I would never go back here again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. This hotel was the one and only regret we had from our trip to the west coast. Next time we will gladly pay more money to not feel itchy by just walking in the room. I am being generous by giving it 1 star, and that's only because selecting 0 stars isn't an option. Happy Day Inn...you suck!

Aside from the fact that the room was clean and the staff were very polite, I have nothing positive to say about the Happy Day Inn. Lets start with the fact that it is not a motel as advertised. Furthermore, our room was comically tiny and there was no free breakfast (even though it was advertised). Staying here was not worth the money in my opinion.

Our room was not ready when we arrived 30 min. later than the check in time. We especially booked an accessible room but they forgot! Totally uncooperative staff and no management to come out to assist the guests or fix the problem. We couldn't check in because we didn't get an accessible room and went to another hotel. A day later they charged me full 3 nights of stay. I called them back to fix this issue but no manager would talk to me so I had to report it through my credit card company. We WILL NEVER recommend any of our guests stay there. It's simply terrible customer service and unacceptable treatment of people.

The desk people were rude so it let me enjoy a good old argument and when I got in the room after the $200$ deposit I can't get back I entered the room the smell was the best I ever smelt and loved the stains it gave the room a my home feeling and the tv was falling off the wall and the room key didn't work and the bathroom was amazing the toilet was full of poo and piss the shower had hair in it and the sink was dirty. When I went to bed I was very itching and when I woke up the bed bugs scratched my itches and the breakfast was burnt but the croissant was the best thing I ever tasted and when I was checking out I had another good argument and I felt the saddest I had ever been to check out now I have to my wife who is obsessed with cleaning. Happy Day Inn you were the best night stay of my life.
