Very disappointed in the customer services by management. I am a full-time student with a young child. When I signed up, I was promised 10 free session of child minding or one month free of child minding. I also purchased training sessions (which arent cheap on a students budget). As the summer months have come up and my daughter is out of school and I have a low income I could have used those free sessions that were promised. Ive mention the free sessions to management, Ive sent emails four times now. And still, Steve Nash still hasnt given me the promised child minding. Which is outrageous, they just keep telling me they will look into it and nobody gets back to me. Summer is now over and due to Steve Nash not holding up their end of the contract, I requested to cancel my membership. BUT NO, they will not let me cancel my membership. Im so Outraged with Steve Nash and their poor customer service. Disgusting service!
Steve Nash Fitness Club is run by bunch of rip off artists. Horrible customer service, tons of hidden fees. Beware of the shady offers and read all fine print before you sign up. The admin staff ripped us off by not cancelling the membership when the request was given at the Gym. Read all the fine prints of the contract because you are bound by the rules stated there. There is a hidden fee called Club enhancement fees which will show in your credit card annually. Staff are rude and constantly pushing for new sales for personal training. Above all, charged my spouse many months of membership fees when the family relocated outside of Canada. This is despite we taking our time to visit the Gym to give proper instructions to cancel the membership prior to leaving the country. Did not tell us that it is required in writing. Never trust these guys running the club or the staff working there at head office. Ensure that you got everything they say in writing. It is a mafia running the show. Stay away for your own benefit.
I want to give this as high of a review I can. First off, the facilities are wonderful. Its definitely one of the nicer ones that I've been to and comes with shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers (although installed at a very inconvenient and awkward height). So for all intents and purposes, I give the facility 5 stars. However, where it and virtually all of Steve Nash suffers is its customer service and account management. I originally began with a free week and 1 personal trainer session coupon that my mother, a member, had gotten. I signed up for a membership afterwards. The staff member who signed me up added that 1 personal trainer session from the coupon onto the 3 I would be receiving with my membership. So I had in total 4 free trainer sessions.I made my first trainer appointment, but had to cancel it the night before. It was within the 24 hours notice, but I wanted to call a second time shortly after to ensure that it was cancelled. It was not, so the staff member I spoke to during my first call did not cancel the appointment as I requested. I had another trainer session today, this time downtown with Tsara Davis, which was a much better in my opinion. Unlike Sean Part #2, she didn't have me warm up during the appointment, thereby cutting into my appointment time, and actually gave me a list of exercises and routines I could do on my own (which is literally all I wanted from the trainer session). I was also not very fond of Sean's insistence that he see me x number of times a month. I was already paying for the membership and I certainly wasn't going to be paying anything more than that. I wanted a personal trainer who helps me and assesses my needs and tells me what exercises are good for me, not a trainer trying to pressure me into buying more sessions with him.So I'll still be going to Steve Nash because the facilities are great and the classes are wonderful. But take it from me, don't expect good or even any real help when it comes to sorting problems out with your account. PS. As a testament to their service incompetence, my mother is a frequent gym goer, almost everyday. One day, she found that her account was frozen, which you usually do if you're going away for vacation, but she had just been in yesterday. So, yeah please improve your customer service because right now that is the only major negative experience.
Edited:Worst customer service ever. They seem to be nice when you are a member . Once you opt out they will charge lots of hidden fees. I personally walked into the gym to cancel the membership. The girl up front there did something and said its all done. After 4 months I am getting a bill of $231. I tried explaining everything . They did nothing. Ended up paying some freeze fee of $105.The response from the owner is a copy and paste for every bad reviews you see . I emailed before and after the response to my bad review. They didnt care to respond back. But responded to the google review acting nice. Thank you .Note: My account number was 24303517.
I never write reviews. But my experience at Steve Nash Brentwood was so bad I had to let others know to stay away. This was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever encountered. My wife and I used a free pass. The gym itself is fine. But the staff is a joke. They are some the most rude, pushy, aggressive, selfish, greedy, and arrogant people I have ever come across. One of the managers sat us down to talk about personal training sessions. He asked me and my wife a bunch of personal questions. We answered honestly thinking that the staff would respect the information we gave him. Instead, he used our insecurities to try and guilt us into buying very expensive personal training sessions. It was sickening. When we told him we couldn't afford to spend thousands of dollars on personal training sessions, the manager started to become very aggressive and pushy and made both my wife and I extremely uncomfortable. We told him at least 6 times that we can not afford to spend thousands of dollars on personal training. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! He would not give up. He also kept hinting that we were both very obese and the only way to solve that issue was getting personal training which is a load of garbage. If you are looking for a gym, please do not go here. I will never recommend Steve Nash Fitness to anyone. It was frankly astonishing how arrogant and rude the staff is. The whole point of running a gym is to help people better themselves. No one on that staff cares about that. They are all money hungry, greedy people.
