The off-leash dog park is amazing and is one of the best in the lower mainland. The park in general is beautiful and well taken care of. We love coming her and I am so happy to have found this place for my pup.
The park is nice, but if you want to launch kayaks or paddle boards from here in the evening, note that the loading/unloading area closes an hour before the public vehicle parking. This means you need to have all your gear loaded back into/onto your vehicle BY 9:00PM, which during the summer means well before the sun sets. Also the loading area is a decent walk from where vehicle parking is allowed, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to walk up to get your vehicle and bring it back to the loading area, while also allowing whatever time it takes to load your gear back onto your vehicle and have it out of there before 9pm. This all would have been good information to know before attempting a sunset paddle here.
That is a really nice place for picnic or BBQ. Weekend is pack with people and parking lot is full. Prepare yourself to wait on anything. Either you go there early in the morning or late afternoon like after 3pm. Then you might have a chance for a space.
Amazing low key beach that has a nice sandy shore and clear blue water. I had never even heard of this place, and assumed it must just be a normal park but it is a beach! Such a nice surprise
My dog and I love the dog park here. It is a beautiful walk, and she always finds lots of other dog friends to play with.Drawback... Summer weekend's. To busy. No parking.
