First time to this lake. It had an incredible walking path around it that runs just over 3kms. The path is mostly wooden with some few natural spots. Hardly any incline. You cannot swim in the water but they do have kayak and paddle boat rentals. We had no troubles finding parking, it was Sunday around 11am. It is so wonderful that natural areas such as this are preserved in urban life.

The deer lake Park is an impressive city nature reserve close to Burnaby offering a range of easy walks and wildlife viewing. The park itself is serviced on both sides by busses and I suggest getting off at the arts centre for ease of access. Wildlife in their area includes coyotes and skunks so beware. The lake boardwalk is enjoyable and a decent running track in all weather.

A great park to take you family to. It has lots of nice areas for a picnic and large grass fields. It has a nice water dock and is close to water. You can also rent boats and go boating in the water. It also has the best flowers and is a very good place to visit

This is a nice little lake, with no motorized (gas powered) boats; there are several human-powered paddle boats - so, it is fairly quiet. Around the lake is a very nice & quiet nature trail - almost like a wild natural trail - with some sections very narrow and steep grade, hugging a cliff. Best of all, I did not see any mosquito - I am from Michigan, and the mosquitoes are terrible during the Summer! Well, the entire Vancouver area seems to have no mosquito - what a wonderful place.

Very restful and peaceful . close to the city. Easy walking. Lots of benches to sit and talk. Easy for biking around. Fun foot paddle boats to tent. Great place to spend the day.
