It is famous for its infamous Carver dust, and although it may look cheap it is quite the prize to study well here!
This school is where I got my Christian High School education for five years. I love this school so much, the teachers are each gems in their own right and care for you so so much, I have had teachers drive me to the skytrain station, help me with my work one on one, empathize with me, and laugh with me.This school is a school where discussion is not only allowed, but actively encouraged with spaces designed specifically for it. We challenge our thinking and beliefs in order to strengthen them. We have tackled tough topics like abortion, war, marriage, sexual fluidity, ethics, and I have never seen anyone feel like they are saying something wrong. Everyone is encouraged to say what they believe, and all are accepted.When I was a student here, it was my second home.
This is a small, genuine, and beautiful community. Carver has taken this old, dusty building and filled it with life. The staff are here because they sincerely believe in their students, and care for them. A truly exceptional place; what a gem.In September 2018, Carver will no longer operate out of this building. Instead, it will be in two new locations: one in New Westminster (John Knox), and one in Vancouver near Grandview and Boundary (Vancouver Christian School).
While Carver has split into two other high schools (Vancouver Christian and John Knox Christian), it was a great place for study, learning, and involvement.
