This is a decent enough Pho place in Burnaby, prices are pretty good, and the service is okay. I think there are better places on the east side of Burnaby Mountain though, but if you're in the neighborhood this place will suffice. I got the house special, which was a pretty solid hangover cure.
Never disappointed coming here. Great food, fast service every time . The spring roll is delicious.
I think pho 101 has one of the better or maybe even best broth in Burnaby. Its always so clear and full of flavour. Im always tempted to squeeze lime in it but its already sweet enough that it would just ruin the balance of it. I always order 23 but last time I found the meat a bit over done and not fatty enough (especially the brisket). For atmosphere, its pretty much a hole in the wall so its not really a date spot if you want to impress. Meals under $13 approved.
Soup is delicious and umami and plenty of noodles. Portions are quite generous. Ive only been here for lunch but usually they are not too busy during these hours. Service was prompt and efficient. I ordered beef pho and they only gave me cooked bean sprouts (instead of raw bean sprouts) and a lime wedge. They also didnt have any basil which was disappointing since it provides such a nice flavour.
Really disappointed with the lemongrass chicken. Did not taste fresh. Tasted like food from the previous day.
