Best lumber yard around. Lots of staff who know what they are talking about. Excellent prices, centrally located.
Absolutely terrible organization. I ordered a custom door that was supposed to take 3 weeks, my order became lost after one month. I phoned at least 15 times over the course of a week and left many messages because people don't seem to ever be at their desk. Never got a single call back. I just ate it and ended up ordering from Home Depot. What a huge waste of time. My time's not free, but Dick's seems to think it is.
Higher prices than other places but way more variety. Never order lumber deliveries from dicks, they take all the stuff people have picked through and set aside for defects to their customers that order delivery. You have to go down there for good lumber. Standard building supplies is way better, Dunbar lumber too, but as I said, dicks has the better variety.
Good selection of supplies but horrible amount of time to pick up lumber. It took me an hour to get my plywood. Way quicker across the street at home Depot
I have terrible shopping experience at dick's lumber. They put a wrong number of items in my order, didn't saw the 2 by 8 woods as promised, delivered to the wrong address and a customer service refused to do anything for it.
